Hi everyone,

Can anyone steer me in a direction towards building the seat (F/A-18)?
I'm extremely familiar with and have ACES II plans but not this seat.
The seat pictured in the "homebuilt" forum section looks great but there aren't
any resources to build one there.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
wmcsat

Note that nearly all F/A-18 have the SJU-17 NACES II seat. If you look at ejection seat.com, under SJU-17, you may find something that you could use.

F/A 18's used SJU-5 seats till upgraded to Naces seat. The simulator store has nice manuals on these seats on dvd. He is also reverse engineering seats for cockpit builders. He has seats he is tearing down and is going to replicate with aluminium sides and head boxes. I cannot wait because I have been tooling with wood and fiberboard but just not the same. My pit has an escapac seat in it right now. He also sells F/A 18 A-D and E/F paanels he is recreating along with some real parts. Very reasonable.

They are constructed from aluminum and powder coated black...

These seata should be available in October 2012.
