I get that error too...!
Hope that doesn't happen in the final version coz I would love to fly the f-18 again since the days of Jane's.

I get this same error on my desktop computer running XP SP2 with an Intel 946GZ Chipset with onboard integrated graphics. However, on clicking the ok button the reference rasterizer doesn't load..any solutions for this ?

I think I got mine to work by setting refresh rate from 59 to 60.

Hello guys

My desktop computer is running XP SP3 / Win 7 32bit with an Intel 946GZ Chipset with
onboard integrated graphics. I installed the Seven-G 1.03 demo .When I launch the game, I
get the "Generic application error... Switching to reference rasterizer..." error message.
And this error message keeps popping up even if I click ok.
I tried 3DAnalyze with various settings but no luck.
But after putting the SwiftShader 3.0 dll the game miraculously starts and I am
able to navigate the menu screens. After launching a mission,
I get loading textures, ...sky/sea .. 100%. then the game crashes with
"The instruction at "0x7c9108d3" referenced memory at "0x0000190d". The >memory could not
be "written". Click OK to terminate the program
Any help? Please see the crash log below
Thanks

I had the same problem, you need to go into your game settings and change the resolution from default to a different resolution.

@Fletch Tried changing to different resolutions in the game menu but same prob when missions load..crashes after everything has loaded ...meshes ..sky/sea etc.
I get "The instruction at "0x7c9108d3" referenced memory at "0x0000190d". The >memory could not be "written".

Searched quite a bit for a solution on the net..finally found something about the cause of the crash.

"the message is generated by RtlUnhandledExceptionFilter2() in ntdll.dll. This gets called when the application triggers a Win32 layer exception (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in this case) and doesn't register a filter using SetUnhandledExceptionFilter() or AddVectoredExceptionHandler(). The kernel calls RtlUnhandledExceptionFilter in the executive layer as part of the default exception handling sequence, which eventually triggers generation of the message."

But as I am not a geek don't know how to solve this Sad

Your hardware is ancient. I would guess you either need to try updating your graphics drivers, or just get a new computer.

@BeakerVBA ...you probably right...but I had some hope as the game started working after using SwiftShader v3 ,that there might be a slim chance of a workaround the post missions loading screen crash..perhaps some dll or patch might miraculously get me past the missions loading screen ..as the graphics drivers have been updated to the last updates which were available.

Doubtful. I honestly haven't heard of anyone using an AGP card since ~2004. Wink

Edit: Hang on, just noticed you had said "integrated," so I assume it's either a laptop or a business desktop. Again, even still, that's not the kind of computer you should expect to run a range of flight simulators on...
